Distribution and Identification of Pepper yellow leaf curl Indonesia virus Infecting Chili Pepper in Bali Island

نویسندگان

چکیده

Yellow leaf curl disease in chili pepper has been reported Bali Island since the early 2012. Research was conducted to identify virus causing this and distribution Bali. Field survey carried out observe intensity collect field samples from several growing areas (Karangasem, Bangli, Tabanan, Gianyar). Begomovirus identification then by polymerase chain reaction method using universal primers SPG1/SPG2, followed an analysis of amplified target DNA sequences. The incidence yellow reached 100% at all sites severity 18%?87%. specific fragment measuring 912 bp successfully 12 samples. Sequence fragments showed highest homology with Pepper Indonesia (PYLCIV). Further phylogenetic confirmed relationship between PYLCIV isolates various Indonesia.

Microarray analyses for identifying genes conferring resistance to pepper leaf curl virus in chilli pepper (Capsicum spp.)

Pepper leaf curl virus (PepLCV) is a serious threat to pepper (Capsicum spp.) production worldwide. Molecular mechanism underlying pepper plants response to PepLCV infection is key to develop PepLCV resistant varieties. In this study, we generated transcriptome profiles of PepLCV resistant genotype (BS-35) and susceptible genotype (IVPBC-535) after artificial viral inoculation using microarray ...

Molecular Biology of Chili Pepper Anthocyanin Biosynthesis

Chili pepper (Capsicum spp.) is an important horticultural crop worldwide. Chili pepper fruits from different Capsicum species have been highly consumed in Mexico since pre-Columbian times. Some Capsicum species synthesize and accumulate anthocyanins in different tissues and organs. Although the anthocyanin biosynthetic pathway has been established for different plant species, very few studies ...

Natural recombination between Tomato yellow leaf curl virus-is and Tomato leaf curl virus.

The complete genome sequences (2791 and 2793 nt) of isolates of Tomato yellow leaf curl virus-Is (TYLCV-Is) from Spain (SP72/97) and Portugal (Port2/95) were determined. These isolates are closely related to TYLCV-Is isolates reported in Japan (Japan-A and Japan-S) and Israel (Israel/Mild). Comparison of all sequenced isolates of TYLCV-Is showed that part of the genome comprising the intergenic...

identification of tobacco leaf curl virus infecting lonicera japonica, an ornamental plant common in japan

a begomovirus, tentatively named tobacco leaf curl japan virus-jpu (tblcjv-jpu), was isolated from lonicera japonica (honeysuckle) plants grown in utsunomiya showing veinal chlorosis symptoms. the tblcjv-jpu genome with 2,761 nt showed a highest identity with tblcjv-jp3 and was also close to tblcjv and as well to tblcjv-jp2. the overall nt identity with tblcjv-jp3 amounted to 92.94%, while the ...

Phenotypic and Molecular Screening of Tomato Germplasm for Resistance to Tomato Yellow Leaf Curl Virus

Tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV) is a major tomato virus in tropical and subtropical regions. In this study, 134 accessions of Solanum lycopersicum and six accessions of Solanum peruvianum were assessed for resistance to an Iranian isolate of TYLCV. Plants were inoculated using whiteflies (Bemisia tabaci) and the reaction of plants was evaluated based on either disease symptoms or viral DN...
